Spencer Lee is currently a practicing attorney in Albany and has served as County Attorney for the Board of Commissioners of Dougherty County since 1979. Throughout his career, he has involved himself in nearly every facet of our community.
For the last twenty years, he has directed his energies toward the promotion and development of multipurpose greenway trails throughout Southwest Georgia. Through participation in the last three Georgia Trail Summits, he has come to understand that networking with other communities and persons dedicated to trail development is essential to the success of promoting and developing trail systems in Southwest Georgia. He is hopeful that by the fall of 2020 the Flint River Trail System will be developed to the point that Dougherty County would be in line to host the 2020 statewide Trail Summit. He is convinced that the future of Southwest Georgia lies with outdoor recreation.
